Oral Oncology

The term Oral Oncology includes cancers of the mouth and the pharynx. Most instances of oral malignancy are a direct result of cigarette smoking, overwhelming liquor utilization or the utilization of both tobacco and liquor. The phase of oral tumor is a standout amongst the most essential considers assessing treatment alternatives. A phase I oral  tumor implies the essential tumor is 2 cm crosswise over or little  and no malignancy cells are available in adjacent structures, lymph nodes  or other distal sites. A phase II oral tumor measures 2–4 cm crosswise over and no cancer cells are available in near structures, lymph nodes and distal sites. The oral tumor is larger than 4 cm across and no cancer cells are available in nearby structures, lymph nodes or inaccessible destinations is stage III. Stage IV is the tumor has attacked further regions as well as tissues.  Depending on the stage of Oral Cancer the type of surgery is recommended.
